Life Cycle Thinking
PAGEV promotes the use of Life Cycle Thinking (LCT) to improve understanding about product benefits and to take more informed decisions. As a scientific method, Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a technique to analyse the potential environmental impacts associated with a product, process or service. It involves:
- Compiling an inventory of energy and material inputs and environmental releases
- Assessing the potential environmental impacts associated with identified inputs and releases
- Calculating performance indicators to inform decisions.
